Directing design for the UK’s core banking apps, used over 3 billion times annually.
Through my role as Associate creative director, I worked on many projects and initiatives to launch a completely redesigned, more accessible, more responsible and modern iOS, Android and iPadOS app for NatWest Group's 19 million customers.

Implementing a fully re-imagined design
Implemented in stages, the app has a whole new look that is more simple and elegant, with completely redesigned components, patterns and flows. Most notably the new home screen experience welcomes users into an inviting, clear, and fast app - with greater brand presence.
A design system for 4 iconic banks
The app is used by customers from different NatWest Group brands, so the colour palette was systemised and re-defined to add personality for each bank. Illustrations, icons and material colours can be elegantly changed out for different brands.
Designed to safeguard vulnerable customers
The redesigned app includes features to safeguard vulnerable customers and victims of domestic abuse, such as concealing contact and address information behind additional security steps. For visually impaired users, every new app screen has a bespoke script for better compatibility with screen readers.
Designing richer transactions
I worked on many new features and enhanced existing ones such as the 'Transactions' view, which I explored and optimised with lots more information and a cleaner design.
One of Britain's top banking apps
Through many projects and initiatives, the app experience has been completely transformed and has received great reviews.
